I have worked with students on design challenges in three educational contexts:
• designing and implementing a project for elementary school children as a juried guest artist
• acting as lead instructor at week-long summer design camps for middle school and high school students
• co-teaching a university-level design fundamentals studio for first-year design students at NC State University College of Design.
Middle and High School Design Camps revolved around a theme such as designing an amusement park, building a Rube Goldberg contraption or reimagining the future of transportation.
Challenge-based summer design camps for middle- and high-school students. Taught by graduate students from North Carolina State University College of Design.
